Katrina is a pre-accredited member of the IACP. She holds a Certificate in Psychology, a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Master of Science in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy studies (IICP). Katrina employs a Humanistic and Pluralistic Psychotherapeutic approach, integrating various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Choice and Reality Theory.
Her clinical background covers multiple areas, such as coercive control, trauma, separation, suicidality, grief, depression, addiction, and anxiety.
Katrina is dedicated to establishing a supportive and professional rapport with clients, providing a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental setting in which individuals are encouraged to explore their emotions, past experiences, and behavioural patterns. Katrina utilises a pluralistic approach tailored to each client’s individual preferences and choices, adapting the pace and style of her work to ensure it aligns with the client's comfort level and specific needs. Supporting clients in enhancing their self-awareness, related to their identity and sense of self, facilitating self-validation to better understanding their emotions, and encouraging self-compassion by recognising and embracing human imperfection as an essential part of life and an opportunity for growth and learning.
