Systematic Kinesiology

When the body is holding stress, it often needs more than words.

Systematic Kinesiology at Glosna House Support Centre is a gentle, body-based therapy that helps babies, children, teenagers and adults release stress, restore balance and feel more at ease in themselves.

Many people come to kinesiology when something just doesn’t feel quite right - digestive discomfort, anxiety, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, or unexplained sensitivities.

Often, in just three sessions, we can begin to understand what the body is communicating and gently support it back into balance.

Systematic Kinesiology (SK) is a gentle, holistic approach to health that works on the energetic, physical, chemical, and emotional levels of the body. It is based on the understanding that the body has an innate ability to heal and balance itself - when the right supports are in place. SK looks to identify the ROOT CAUSE of health issues & symptoms so they can be removed permanently.

Through muscle-testing, nutritional insight, food sensitivity testing, and gentle hands-on techniques, SK helps reveal where stress or imbalance may be sitting in the system. It offers a way of truly listening to the body, rather than only focusing on symptoms. The aim is always the same: to bring the body back into greater balance, clarity, and flow.

Fiona Brennan is a warm, highly trained Systematic Kinesiologist, registered with the Association of Systematic Kinesiologists in Ireland (ASK). She works with all age groups, brings a gentle and intuitive presence, and is deeply committed to helping people understand what their bodies are communicating. Fiona’s approach is grounded, compassionate, and entirely person-centred.

How it can help you . . .

  • Systematic Kinesiology is gentle, versatile, and deeply supportive - offering help across all ages and all stages of life. It works with the whole person: physically, energetically, emotionally, and nutritionally. Because of this, it can support a wide variety of needs, including:

  • Everyday physical discomforts such as muscle tension, aches, pains, posture, or joint issues

  • Digestive and nutritional concerns, including food sensitivities and imbalance in the gut

  • Emotional and mental wellbeing, including stress, overwhelm, low energy, and sleep difficulties

  • Energetic and structural balance, working with meridians, muscle tone, and the body’s natural flow

  • Support for growing bodies, from babies and children to teenagers navigating developmental changes

  • Support for people managing long-term conditions, who want a complementary, body-listening approach to their overall wellbeing

  • General health maintenance, helping your body function at its best and identifying what strengthens you and what doesn’t.

Systematic Kinesiology doesn’t diagnose or cure illnesses. Instead, it helps to identify what your body is responding to, where it may be under stress, and how to create the best possible conditions for your system to thrive.

For example, clients may come with hormonal issues, thyroid concerns, lymphatic congestion, chronic fatigue, recurring digestive troubles, or simply a sense that something is “off.” Through muscle testing, food sensitivity testing, nutritional insight, and gentle hands-on techniques, your kinesiologist can explore what is supporting the body - and what may be blocking it.

The aim is always the same: to help you achieve your own optimum health, whatever your starting point.

The Clinics . . .

Baby Clinic

Supporting babies with feeding and digestive discomfort

Some babies struggle in their early months with issues such as:

• colic
• reflux
• digestive discomfort
• unsettled sleep
• reactions to milk or formula

Through gentle kinesiology techniques, Fiona can help identify whether a baby may be reacting to certain milks, formulas, or nutritional factors. This process is very gentle and always guided by the baby’s responses.

Many parents find this approach helpful when trying to understand what may be causing their baby’s discomfort and how best to support them. The aim is always the same: to help babies settle, digest comfortably, and feel more at ease in their little bodies.

If your baby seems uncomfortable, unsettled or reacting to feeds, kinesiology can gently help us understand what may be happening.

Many parents come to us simply looking for a little more comfort and ease for their baby. If you'd like to explore whether this approach may help your baby, you're very welcome to get in touch.

Teen Clinic

Supporting teenagers with anxiety, stress and overwhelm

Teenagers today are navigating enormous pressures - socially, emotionally, academically, and digitally.

Often, stress doesn’t just stay in the mind. It shows up in the body.

Teenagers may experience:

• anxiety or constant worry
• difficulty sleeping
• low energy or fatigue
• headaches or stomach aches
• feeling overwhelmed or emotionally “on edge”
• difficulty concentrating

Kinesiology offers teenagers a gentle, non-invasive way of releasing stress that may be held in the body. For many teens, this approach feels easier than talking about everything straight away. Sessions are calm, respectful, and fully clothed. Many young people respond very well to this body-based approach. In most cases, three sessions are enough to begin supporting the body back toward balance and resilience.

Parents often contact us saying:

"My teenager just seems constantly stressed or overwhelmed."

Kinesiology can offer a calm, supportive starting point while teenagers learn to regulate their nervous system and feel more balanced.

If you feel your teenager may benefit from this approach, you’re very welcome to contact us for more information.

Hormone & Thyroid Clinic

Supporting hormonal balance naturally

Hormonal health can have a profound impact on how we feel - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Fiona has undertaken specialist training specifically in hormonal and thyroid health, using kinesiology to explore how the body may be responding to different stresses, nutritional factors, or imbalances.

People often seek support for issues such as:

  • • thyroid imbalance
    • fatigue and low energy
    • hormonal fluctuations
    • PMS or menstrual irregularities
    • perimenopause and menopause symptoms
    • feeling “out of balance” hormonally

Using kinesiology, Fiona can help identify nutritional supports, sensitivities, and stress patterns that may be influencing hormonal health. This approach works alongside your overall healthcare and focuses on supporting the body’s natural balance.

Recommended Session Pathway

Although every individual is unique, we typically recommend a series of three sessions:

  1. Session One – exploring, mapping, and understanding what’s going on in your system

  2. Session Two & Three – working deeper, clearing blockages, and supporting balance

After this, many clients like to return every 6–8 weeks for a “top-up” or system reset - helping maintain balance as life changes.

Who Is It For?

Systematic Kinesiology at Glosna House is suitable for everyone:
babies, children, teenagers, adults, and older adults.

People seek kinesiology for many different reasons - curiosity, long-term health maintenance, emotional support, physical discomfort, or specific conditions they are managing. Whatever your starting point, SK offers a gentle and empowering way to reconnect with your body’s own wisdom.
