Cathy O'Donoghue
Psychotherapist
Cathy is a fully accredited psychotherapist with the Association of Professional Counsellors & Psychotherapists in Ireland (APCP). She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Dublin City University along with a master’s in counselling & Psychotherapy from the Irish College of Humanities and Science. Cathy has extensive experience working in social care setting providing emotional and psychological support to adolescents and children using a trauma informed approach.
Cathys therapeutic approach is person centred and integrative. She believes that the client is the expert of their own lives and tailors’ therapy to the individuals needs. Through the provision of a safe space to explore the clients’ thoughts and feelings, Cathy’s approach promotes healing.
Cathy has experience working with individuals suffering through addiction, trauma, abuse, low self-esteem anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues and believes that healing comes through a collaborative therapeutic process.
Through a strong therapeutic relationship, providing a non-judgemental space and an individualised holistic approach, Cathy believes that every client can reach their full potential.
