Phil Carroll
Training Gestalt Psychotherapist

Phil is a fourth year Master of Arts Gestalt Psychotherapy training student, holding a BSc in Psychology and several years of experience working in the disability sector. He brings a compassionate and grounded approach to his work, shaped by both professional training and his own lived experience of disability.
Phil is an Associate Student Member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and adheres to the organisation’s code of ethics and professional standards. He is also committed to ongoing professional development through personal therapy and engaging in regular clinical supervision to support and reflect on his therapeutic work.
Phil is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and accessible therapeutic spaces where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. He places great importance on the co-creation of the therapeutic relationship, viewing it as a collaborative and evolving space where authenticity, healing, exploration, and growth can emerge at a pace that feels right for each individual.
Rooted in the principles of Gestalt therapy, Phil’s approach focuses on raising awareness in the here-and-now, supporting clients to explore how they relate to themselves, others, and the world around them. He is especially passionate about working with issues related to identity, self-worth, and navigating systemic challenges faced by those marginalised in society.
A key aspect of Phil’s work is his dedication to embodied awareness. He gently supports clients in reconnecting with their bodily experience, helping them grow their capacity to sense, feel, and respond from a more integrated and authentic place. His aim is to support each person in developing their awareness and to live a more choiceful life.
