Holistic Massage €50

Holistic massage treats the ‘Whole Person’ - Your Body, Mind & Soul in Unison. This is a gentle and relaxing treatment. It is an ancient method of healing that clears the lymphatic drainage system and releases toxins from the body, as well as relieving mental and emotional stresses & tensions.

By recognising that illness and stress affects not only our physical but also our emotional, spiritual & mental well-being, we can allow holistic massage to encourage the body's natural healing abilities to come forth & balance the entire body as a whole. This treatment is soothing, deeply relaxation and promotes overall wellbeing.

The therapist uses a range of massage techniques to work on tensions and stresses in the body, tailored to your personal needs using the holistic approach.

Deep Tissue Massage €50

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, lower back tightness, and sore shoulders. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement. To do this, the massage therapist  uses direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen tight muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. Because many toxins are released, it's important to drink plenty of water after a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body.

Upper Body Massage €50

This treatment is designed to alleviate stress and tension in the upper body and works from the top of the head to the sacrum. A range of massage techniques are employed on the head, neck, shoulders and back working out any tensions, stress or tightness held in the body.

This particular massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Orthopaedic Sports Massage  €50

Orthopaedic massage focuses on the tissues and muscles surrounding the joints of the body. While it aims to alleviate the source of bodily pain and tension, orthopaedic massage also works to restore balance to these physical structures.

Typically, soft tissue pain and injury is what initially draws a client in to see a massage therapist who specialises in orthopaedic massage. This pain could be post-surgical pain, pain from an acute injury, or pain from overuse strain due to a repetitive motion from an activity like tennis, hockey, or jogging.

Whatever the cause of the muscle damage, the intent of the orthopaedic massage is to lengthen and soften the muscles and ligaments, permitting better range of motion of the affected joints.

Sports Injury Massage €50

Sports massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. Soft tissue is connective tissue that has not hardened into bone and cartilage; it includes skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (a form of connective tissue that lines and ensheathes the other soft tissues).

Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.

Reflexology €50

Reflexology is a natural complementary therapy that works on the basis that all parts of your body have key links to certain areas in your extremities, namely your feet, legs, hands, face and ears. It has existed in some form for thousands of years, with Egyptian and Chinese natural medicine confident of its benefits.

Throughout the years it has developed as an expert technique and has been recognised in the Western world since the early 20th century. Most commonly, reflexologists focus on using massage and applying pressure to specific parts of your feet with an aim to promote overall well-being throughout the body. Reflexologists believe that you can positively affect organs throughout your body using touch and pressure on its corresponding part in the foot.

Reiki Healing €50

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Indian Head Massage €50

Indian Head Massage has been practised in India for over a thousand years as part of everyday family life as a form of grooming. It was brought to the west by Narendra Mehta in the 1970s and the therapy was extended to include the face, ears, neck, shoulders and upper arms. Indian Head Massage works on areas affected by mental and emotional stress. In Western culture today we spend much of our time in our heads, so this treatment can really help to calm the mind and is deeply relaxing.

Indian Head Massage is part of the Ayurvedic system. Ayurveda, the “Science of Life” is an ancient Indian medical system, believed by many to be the oldest medical system in the world. The goal is to clear blocks in energy channels that cause a build-up of negative energy that are believed to cause a range of ailments. It is based on acupressure massage, and its benefits are felt throughout the body.
