Reflexology is a natural complementary therapy that works on the basis that all parts of your body have key links to certain areas in your extremities, namely your feet, legs, hands, face and ears. It has existed in some form for thousands of years, with Egyptian and Chinese natural medicine confident of its benefits.

Throughout the years it has developed as an expert technique and has been recognised in the Western world since the early 20th century. Most commonly, reflexologists focus on using massage and applying pressure to specific parts of your feet with an aim to promote overall well-being throughout the body. Reflexologists believe that you can positively affect organs throughout your body using touch and pressure on its corresponding part in the foot.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

1 Hour Session €50
Lymph drainage massage is a very light, slow, rhythmical massage. The intention is to stimulate the lymph vessels that run just below the skin. Lymph drainage massage drains excess fluids from the tissues returning them to the circulatory system.  The lymphatic system is also a vital part of your immune system, meaning lymph drainage massage can stimulate your immune system during and after times of illness. The gentleness of the treatment will lull you into a state of deep calm and relaxation.

Lymph massage can benefit just about everyone. If you're feeling tired and low on energy, or if you've been sick and feeling like your body is fighting to get back on track, lymph massage would likely serve you well.

In addition surgical patients, fibromyaliga and chronic fatigue sufferers, as well as those wanting a fresh look may want to consider lymphatic massage. Here's why.

Surgical procedures involving lymph node removal--such as breast cancer surgery--can cause limbs to swell. Severe limb swelling needs the attention of a medical team, but in milder cases, lymphatic massage alone may be enough to prevent or even treat the swelling. It’s important that your doctor be involved in your care. Let your doctor know you’d like to see a massage therapist and make sure you have medical approval.

Lymph massage can also be part of a care program for fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. Because it's so gentle, it is well tolerated by these patients, who are often experiencing sore trigger points throughout the body. And by encouraging lymph flow and removing waste products, this gentle form of bodywork can help restore immune function and improve vitality.

African Reflexology

1 Hour Session €50

African Reflexology is a gentler form of Reflexology in which the therapist works both feet together.

The intention behind African Reflexology is to bring all the scattered aspects of a person back into the core of their being so that they can experience wholeness again in a completely new way.

Frequently clients have reported it as being "supremely comforting" on one hand and "outright bliss" on the other hand.

The feet reveal how we think, feel about ourselves, how we deliver or go about our daily activities, how we communicate with others and what roles we take on within our families. The feet reveal where we hold our emotions, the direction of life purpose and whether we see life as an adventure or an obligation to others.

African Reflexology has a beautiful reflective aspect to it too.

It invites you to get in touch with your own inner wisdom, your intuitive self, your own soul/spirit. By working with practices during the course you will deepen into the knowingness of yourself and of your own spiritual self.

It will take you to places inside your own heart where wisdom is revealed, where surrender is a blessing and where peace is ever lasting.

It’s that place within your being where you feel truly at "home with you".

Deep Tissue Full Body Massage
1 Hour Session €50

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, lower back tightness, and sore shoulders. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement. To do this, the massage therapist  uses direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen tight muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. Because many toxins are released, it's important to drink plenty of water after a deep-tissue session to help eliminate these toxins from the body.

Hopi Ear Candling

1 Hour Session €50

Thermo Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear Candles) is a pleasant and non-evasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions. These ear candles can induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes.

The candles are made from the natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, St Johns Wort, chamomile, beta-carotene and organically grown flax.

The candles work on a chimney effect, a light suction action and the circulation of vapours. The temperature increase in the ear canal is transmitted through to the rest of the ear, nose and sinuses. This leads to a change in pressure and expansion in these areas leading them to drain and clear.

Reiki Healing

1 Hour Session €50

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.
